So, Music PEI put together an Artist Exchange program where a UK artist comes to the east coast to tour with me and then I go there (a pretty sweet little deal, I think). Kizzy Crawford and I will also collaborate on songwriting together which I’m really looking forward to. It all starts really soon, so check the dates and come on out!

Well, I’m proud to say I finished my first producing gig and I friggin’ loved it. These girls (Amy & Rachel Beck – check ’em out) made my job pretty easy though – along with Sheppy, the engineer. Very talented gals with some real nice songs. It will be released this fall so keep yer ears and eyes open for it!

Playing for 8,000 people in Charlottetown? Pretty cool. Thank you Burton Cummings for the opening slot (he killed it btw).

Well, halfway through my first song at the Gordon Lightfoot Songbook Stage here at Mariposa Folk Festival this is the fella I see staring back at the stage. I mader through and he actually complimented me on my version of ‘For Lovin’ Me’.
And then he got up and sang right beside me, a career highlight for sure : ) And a nice fella too!

Well, I sure can’t believe it but I guess when you buckle down and spend 14 hours a day in the studio out in the country then you come out with something!
Something that I’m pretty friggin’ proud of… A RECORD!
I teamed up with Band of Horses, Bill Reynolds to pop out 12 of my best written songs over the last 2 years and I can’t wait for you to hear them. It’s not mixed yet but I’ll be sure to let you know when that’s done (or maybe you might just hear something on the radio!).

So I first attended the Indie Awards in 2010 where I snuck in backstage and drank free tequila with the PEI boys. That was an interesting night to say the least.
But this year, there’ll be no sneaking in because I’m nominated for Collaboration of the Year for ‘Beat This Heart’ w/ Serena Ryder!
