while on the road driving through the rocky mountains w/ poor young things, the whole slew of us thought doing a cover of mgmt’s ‘electric feel’ would be cool. so we did!

had to throw a pic up of this crew. we had a pretty awesome time at ccma’s discovery week in toronto (even though i landed from australia a few hours before the whole thing started)… looking forward to seeing everyone at the ccma’s in edmonton!

wow, hard to believe another tour has come and gone! thank you to so many people… geoff, josh, mark, waz, moggy, logan, rin, sam, kate, mili, brian, jo, everyone at abc, and the list goes on. everyone treated me so well and i absolutely cannot wait to come back : )

so this doesn’t really have anything to do with my tour but… diesel’s wife was in new zealand and saw this book (this is the picture on the cover) – she texted it to him and they both wanted an explanation from me. i was at a loss for words. and still am.

chatted with some lovely australian folks all day from this lil’ booth at the abc headquarters in sydney : ) and i can’t get enough of the ol’ strong flat whites. pullin’ me through.

so i just found out that i’ll be performing at edmonton folk festival this summer… i can’t even believe it. did you see the line up? feist, avett brothers, bruce cockburn, john butler trio… and the list goes on. unreal.

brisbane! that was an awesome night and i absolutely can’t wait to come back. also, big thanks to logan dove and the golden age of ballooning for making this night go so smooth : )

spent the day recording w/ mark lizotte (aka diesel) at his home in sydney. we wrote a song together for the east coast music awards back in april and we both ended up really liking it (and we perform it every night as well)… so we’re recording it! along with a few other songs. sounds awesome.

and i got to play this ’65 gibson all day – i certainly can’t complain.

so i made it to australia after that super ridiculous flight and two days the nasty flew… starting to come around!
on the bright side, “bail you out” is being released as a single under my abc/universal music label and we have a ‘film clip’ to accompany it : ) huge thanks to lowell productions for putting this one together. shot on prince edward island too!
